This is a 1963 Daimler SP 250.
Daimler was a small British car manufacturer that was absorbed by jaguar in the early 60s.
Jaguar squash the production of the SP 250 due to it being direct competition for the e-type.
This car is one of 2653 examples that were made during a production run which lasted from 1959 to 1964. it is a two door four seater convertible with a removable hardtop. The car also comes with a freshly restored convertible soft top frame… Ready for a new canvas top to be installed should the new owner wants the soft top.
The car has just received a major tuneup and inspection at Daimler specialist in So Cal. It has a new electronic ignition, a new coil, New spark plugs. All electrical is functional, headlights, turn signals, and running lights all work. The car is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
– Comes with original bucket seats
– features Toyota five speed transmission upgrade. Which is an amazing upgrade for this car and immensely increases its drivability, and reduces noise inside compared to the original gearbox. This car can cruise on the freeway at 75 mph, no problem.
It also features a modern rack and Pinion steering set up… Again for increased drivability and improved responsiveness over the original steering box.
This is a solid running driving example.
It has a 2.5 L hemi V-8 – original motor
