Disney Pixar’s Cars holds a special place in the heart’s of automotive enthusiasts both young and old alike. The franchise’s original film came out a decade ago with a Cars 2 sequel following five years later. In 2017, we’ll be getting Cars 3, and it looks like Disney Pixar has upped the ante.
A teaser trail for the new film surfaced today, and although it doesn’t reveal too much (besides redesigned high-definition animation), we can see that something bad has happened to Lightning McQueen. Our animated automotive hero is seen tumbling down an oval track followed by an ominous pack of competitors. The short trailer cuts right to our nostalgic hearts.
We may not find out what exactly will happen to Lightning McQueen until the new movie comes out in 2017, but until then, see what you can deduce from the trailer.
