3 According to a something search, the average tax return in February last year was $3,120. Most people take that “extra” money and pay off bills or buy golfist equipment, but golf and being responsible is boring. We figured we should see how much car you could get if you decided to blow that check […]

Up for sale is my beloved MR2. I purchased this car in 2007 with 119k miles. As it currently sits, it has 156k miles. The engine had all major service done back in 2012. It has been a very fun car to drive, however I have one too many cars and this car hasn’t been driven in over three months.
Car is not perfect; as it has it’s fair share of scruffs, scratches, chips, etc. and is priced according to the condition, market, and rarity. Not many ’88 MR2s S/C, T-Tops, and C52 Transmission, out there in this type of condition. Especially for being a CA car it’s entire life.
Car was purchased in Northern California. I registered the car (along with all of my cars) to NH once I purchased a home out there (way cheaper to register a vehicle out there). Buyer is responsible for all CA registration fees, smog check, etc.
Any questions about the car, please feel free to ask. I am very responsive to e-mails, as that is the best way to contact me.
Please DO NOT contact me if you are not serious. I will not entertain meetings just to check out the car, haggle the price, ask me if I’m willing to take payments, if I’m willing to trade vehicles plus cash, part-out, etc. The car can sit in my garage and take up space, I would rather let it do that then sell it, just to sell it.
Pros:
Original Supercharged 4A-GZE Engine
C52 Transmission (does not grind or pop out of 5th gear, like the C50 transmission)
TRD Headers
MoMo Steering Wheel
Aftermarket Defi Boost Guage
Pioneer CD Deck (not pictured but will come with the car. It was added in 2007 when I bought the car, before AUX and Bluetooth were popular)
Pioneer Speakers Front/Rear/Door
Four mini-subwoofers behind the rear seats (two on each side in two removable small boxes)
Tokiko Shocks with Eibach Springs
Cons:
15″ Rota Wheels 4×100 (these came with the car, never replaced them)
A/C needs to be re-charged, but it is not broken and worked very well in December (that’s what happens with a 25+ year old car that sits for three months)
Scrapes, scuffs, and chips (typical on a car with 156k miles and 25+ years old)
One tire is not like the other three (tire blew out, got it replaced in a hurry)
Hit my head on the driver side T-Top (plastic handle part) as I was getting out, back in 2008. Taped the broken plastic pieces together, haven’t replaced it.
