Stock 1600cc really strong and will not overheat even in hot climate. Not an oil dripper too! no rust , no patches in the floor pan, new carpet, new front seats , new wheels , all disc brakes,
I have pink slip and history report in hand. Price is firm due to a lot of interests already plus the car is very nice and clean. The Vw shop here gave me a quote for repaint for $1800 only because the car is in good shape. I can give you the shop address if you like.
Drive this daily or long trip and not worry at all . Yes ! You can buy a cheaper ghia at craigslist but you will end up paying more for repairs due to rust and massive oil leaks on the transmission and engine.with adjustable beam for desired height.

1970 Subaru 360 Deluxe Sedan. From the era of microcars.

For those of you who are not familiar with these cars, please visit http://www.subaru360club.org/ and click on ‘The History of the 360’.

It has 356cc two-cylinder two-stroke engine with a 3-speed-plus-overdrive (technically a 4-speed) transmission. It is two-door (suicide doors) with seating for 4.

It was almost completely intact when I got it and in very good overall condition. I have completely gone through it and everything now works and looks as it should.

The car has 24,000 miles on it. Work done includes:
• Brakes completely redone (cylinders redone, shoes, cut drums, re-pack wheel bearings).
• 4 new tires.
• All new shocks.
• New shifter bushings.
• Rebuilt starter.
• Rebuilt carb.
• New plugs, wires, rotor, distributer cap.
• New door and rear sidewindow weatherstripping.
• New black plastic edge trim in all original locations.
• New air and fuel filters.
• New rear axle-to-transmission seals and CV boots.
• New windshield wiper blades.

It has the original spare tire, factory wiring for towing the car, door stickers (break-in, speeds, tire pressure), 4 original hubcaps.

Modifications include:
• Electric fuel valve to replace the always-faulty vacuum valve.
• Electric windshield washer fluid pump/switch to replace the manual push-bulb pump (the electric switch is hidden inside the rubber push-bulb so it appears original).
• Larger-than-original convex outside rear-view mirrors on the original mirror stems.
• Larger interior rear-view mirror.
• New aluminum fuel tank (those who know about these cars understand why).
• Door pulls on the inside of the door (otherwise you pull on the door handle, which wears them out).

The interior is all original and in VERY good condition, except the mat over the fuel tank in the rear is new carpet. The rubber floor mats are not torn or worn and LAY FLAT. The rubber covers over the wheel wells inside are in the same condition. The rubber mudflaps are still in place and in good condition as well and they are FLAT (not curled).

Minuses (though minor).
• There is no headliner, but the inside of the roof panel is clean.
• It had no rear window when purchased so I had one fabricated from Lexan. It is clean, clear and scratch-free.
• As the car had the roof removed when I got it (hence the missing rear glass), it also was missing the chrome trim for the roof gasket. It is replaced with rubber piping to lock the gasket in place. NO LEAKS at the roof or the rear window.
• The license plate light is not original, though the new one replicates the original.
• This car NEVER had a back-up light.
• The front of the floor pans have been replaced with new steel welded in place. The rest of the body is rust-free and solid.
• I had the car re-painted with new white paint. Then some shmuck damaged the hood and left front fender. They were repaired and repainted but, even though the white paint used for touch-up came from the same painter, it is slightly off.
• There are a few minor defects in the paint: on the ledge above the driver’s door handle, the top of the left front fender, at the edge of left side of the hood and next to the gas filler door. They do not significantly detract from the appearance and could be touched-up without major work
• The front parking lights/turn signals are not original but they very closely resemble the originals.
• The ‘Subaru 360’ badge on the rear hood is a replica.

EVERYTHING works! The car starts, runs, drives and stops fine. It gets more attention than anything else I’ve ever owned, mostly because it is so unusual and most people have never heard of them, let alone seen one. I’ve enjoyed this car for just under 3 years, but the disease has kicked in again and it’s time for something different.

Included are many spare parts: 4 pistons, 1 cylinder, extra seatbelts, 1 NEW and 2 used oil pumps (very rare), 2 new brake shoes, 3 old shoes with lining detached (could be re-bonded if needed), several new rubber brake cylinders and seals, 1 short steel brake line, 1 new starter solenoid, several e-brake parts (for inside the drum), 1 signal flasher, 1 carb float, 1 interior light assembly, 1 New ‘Subaru’ script trim, 1 new trans gear (which one is unknown), 1 new axle shaft-to-transmission bearing, 1 new set of pints, 1 new air filter element, used-in-great-condition top rubber gasket, rear bumper and 1 choke/heater control panel assembly.

1970 Lotus Europa S2.

Street or Track.

This Lotus was ordered directly from, and picked up at Lotus in Norwich, East Anglia, UK in June of 1970. I believe the buyer was an American serviceman stationed in England. He drove it to Heathrow, and had it transported to JFK in New York. From there, he drove it Malibu, CA, until moving (and driving the car) to Dallas, TX in 1983. During his ownership, he changed the wheels, removed the front and rear chrome bumpers, as well as the driving lights below the front bumper. He lowered the front an inch and a half, and raised the rear an inch. The rear shocks were repositioned on the cross member, and the stub axle bearings were converted to standard US sizes from the factory metric. He fitted it with a header, and free flow exhaust, installed Weber carbs, as well as installing air conditioning. The interior has seen a switch to a passenger racing seat, and the driver’s “seat” is a custom molded fiberglass shell, designed to accommodate a large driver. Both seats have 4-point racing harnesses. The dash facia was custom made, using Jaguar rocker switches, and the inside door panels are modified with MGB door handles. The carpet will need attention if the car is intended to be used as a street vehicle, but should not be a problem is used for the track.

He sold the car in 2007 (after having owned it for 37 years!) to a car dealer outside of Dallas.

From there, the history gets sketchy. How it got from Texas to the barn in rural Virginia where I found it covered in pigeon crap is a mystery.

I cleaned up the poop, flushed the old gas, went through the brakes, and now have it running and stopping like it should.

The paint is a good 10 footer, with stress cracks and blistering only visible on close inspection.

The odometer shows 87,500 miles. The car is still Texas titled in the original owners name.

The car comes with a box full of literature including history, shop manuals, and parts resources.

****11/24/2015 – IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE VALUE OF THESE CORVETTES HAS BEEN STEADILY INCREASING. CHECK OUT HEMMINGS MOTOR NEWS OR SIMILAR CLASSIFIED SITES.***

MY SELLING PRICE IS REMAINING THE SAME.

This is not a business. I’m a car guy. The time has come for me to sell this Vette and enjoy some other type of car.

—————————–

1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe 350 / 4speed $24,900

350 C.I. 4 Speed. – 107,400 original miles. – Bridgehampton Blue Exterior/ Black Interior – Numbers matching car.

This Corvette is a very clean great running car. In the last year I have done over $4000 worth of restoration and repairs to the car. As you can see from the photos the car looks great and I get tons of attention everywhere I go. The car is a 10ft car and NOT a show car. Please keep in mind that the car is 44 years old. There are areas of the paint that are beginning to bubble and crack, t-tops need a bit of repair but overall the car looks great. The car was repainted back in the early 1980’s to Bridgehampton Blue from its original Steel Cities Grey color.

The car is a regular visitor to Cars & Coffee events around Orange County and Donut Derelicts in HB on Saturday mornings. The car was also part of the Petrolicious (www.petrolicious.com) “Drive Tastefully” rally back in June 2015.

The car runs very smoothly, shifts perfectly in all gears and is a blast to drive. I have detailed comprehensive repair receipts that go back to the 1970’s along with original marketing brochure, owner’s manual, warranty card and Protect-o-Plate.

Car needs an A/C compressor to be reinstalled. I have all the hard to find mounting brackets.

Serious inquires only. Don’t waste your time low balling. I will not respond to you. I don’t need to sell it, I just want to sell it. Bring your reasonable offers. Would consider a trade for late 60’s / early 70’s Alfa Romeo GTV or GT Junior or a Porsche 911 from the late 70’s / early 80’s.

This is a good honest unmolested Corvette that came from the factory with 3 out of the 4 options offered (no power windows), if repainted back to Steel Cities Grey and with and a few minor odds and ends done can be a $40,000 + car. Their are a lot of shitty ones out there. This is not one of them.
