1980 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 2 door convertible. This car has under 50,000 original miles.
I just recently had a new head and engine rebuild installed and is running better than new.
I have upgraded the wheels and tires to 19″ Sparco wheels and G force Goodyear tires with less than 3,000 miles on them. New pads and upgraded slotted disc brakes. The paint job is 4 years old and still looks great. The canvas top is in good shape but the window sticking on the back window is coming off. A new canvas top runs about $320.00 and they look great. $7,900 OBO

1977 Fiat 500 Giardiniera

drive: rwd

This is a 1977 Fiat 500D Giardiniera Manufactured by Autobianchi
Fuel Tank Capacity: 21 liter/5.5476132 gal.
Fuel consumption: 45.233572 miles/gal. 250.93836 miles on a single tank.

Astronomical return on investment; these micro vehicles are highly desirable items in the eyes of the crowd. Back in the sixties, the Italian dairy company ‘Sterilgarda Alimenti’ founded in 1969, started to use the Fiat ‘Giardiniera’ as a Milk Delivery Van in the villages of Italy. Formed and still based in ‘Castiglione delle Stiviere’, the company started out by supplying just milk to delivery companies. It quickly expanded in the 1970’s.

This Fiat was in Italian group ‘De Club Van’, a group formed by dedicated owners with a passion for showcasing vehicles and achieved the Italian hot hatch award three consecutive years and two annual awards for best two-tone interior and best two-tone exterior paint. The vehicle has preserved its pristine condition inside and out. The car has a healthy 499.5 cc air-cooled engine delivering 17.5 bhp mated to a 4 speed manual gear box and packaged in a rear engine/rear wheel drive platform. The most important element, technically, is the different architecture of the twin-cylinder engine which was laid on its side ‘like a sole’ as they said at Fiat, so that it could fit under the flat loading surface. The Giardiniera model also features suicide doors, a newly restored full-length sunroof and larger upgraded brakes. The title is clear and for California.

Middle Age Mutant Ninja Mouse

1 Bigger is better, gluttony is glorious, no replacement for displacement, Dwayne The Rock Johnson is a good actor. All these misconceptions have been shoved through my ear canals to the point where I actually started thinking San Andreas was a good movie. Best Cars & Coffee choice for 15k or less

Chris at Burbbble

::cck::839

Going to a cars and coffee event is always a good time but participating in one can be a little intimidating. Even though everyone is super nice, my 944 parked next to a Bugatti or De Tomaso seems kind of like streaking the red carpet at the Oscars. Clearly it doesn’t belong and all it is doing is ruining everyone’s pictures. So what cars can be bought for 15k or less that fit in with the rich and famous? We have our picks, what is yours?

1963 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

1963 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

If you are going to show up to a party why not wear a tux. Granted this Cadillac is a little rough around the edges. So if it were a tux it would probably be the one your great grandpa was buried in but come’on, look how stylish it is! IT HAS FINS!! (The car, not a dead dude’s tux) If I could spend a work week buffing the paint and got some spray paint and Sharpies for touch-ups, I think this could be a very striking car from 30 feet.

My thought here is if I can’t beat ’em, be bigger and more brash because I’m a patriot. CHRIS OUT!

1969 Fiat 600

1969 Fiat 600

The most popular cars at Cars & Coffee are Italian, no doubt. Alfa Romeos, Maseratis, Lamborghinis and Ferraris are all too common at these events, however. Classic vintage is a must, so what stands out?

This exquisite Fiat 600 flips all the right switches: small, Italian, vintage, blue. It is the best example of Italian modesty, if there ever was such a thing. It’s powder blue paint provides a refreshingly bright contrast to matte black BMWs. This is a car that makes the driver happy. And that happiness will make others jealous at Cars & Coffee.

1967 Volkswagen Beetle

1967 Volkswagen Beetle

There will be plenty of Porsches at Cars and Coffee, but not many designed by the great Ferdinand himself (Porsche that is, not Piëch). So why not roll up in a true, Porsche-designed piece of excellence? Leave those 914s at home and burble over for your tall, skinny, lo-fat, no-fat, almond-milk mocha with the sunroof out and “Surfin’ USA” blaring through the small speakers. The carefully designed “Oh Shit” bar above the glove compartment will give your passenger the sensation of riding a bucking bronco as the 53 horses tear off down the street. Of course, by the end of the night you’ll be playing “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy”.

Good thing too, because by the time you reach the end of the street two horses will have escaped. Damn rustlers.

1964 Jaguar MK II

1964 Jaguar MK II

The number of sedans that get parked at Cars n Coffee usually equals the total goals scored in an average Premier League match (have you watched this??). While we haven’t joined our brethren across the Atlantic in feverish excitement for football, we do share a passion for the cars that were shoddily put together a long time ago in the British countryside.

However, my choice of a 1964 Jaguar MK II is not because it will be one of few. It is because it will be the prettiest of many. Being unique is cheap. There are a lot of rare cars that you would never want to own. Being special takes something….special. Call it plucky, call it charming, call it charismatic, whatever adjectives you are inspired to use, “boring” and “ugly” will not come to mind.

So with my choice I raise my pint of best and hope that whoever is playing Manchester United absolutely destroys them. Something extreme….like 2-NIL.

FCA revises business plan: Diesel Wrangler and Alfa specialty cars on the horizon

::cck::98
::/introtext::

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles release a revised version of their 2014 business plan today. It began with a curious quote from Mark Twain: “The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” Not sure exactly how that fits into the context of Fiat Chrysler changing their business plan, but I like it. You stay weird, FCA. The changes to their business plan are as follows:

In general, FCA noted how well received the Ferrari IPO was this October as well as how strong the Jeep brand was performing around the world, more than expected. But the automaker did admit to some fallbacks, especially in the Chinese market with the Maserati and Alfa Romeo brands.

Alfa Romeo and Maserati did not perform as well as expected in 2015. As such, FCA have taken a second look and re-assessed their plans for those brands. They will combine the brands’ dealerships in China, and reign in R&D. However, FCA is committed to the brands’ success. Alfa Romeo will launch a new utility vehicle in 2016 or 2017, and between 2017 and 2020 will launch a new full sized sedan, two new utility vehicles, two “specialty” vehicles, and a hatchback. These will add to their current line up of the 4C, 4C Spider, Giulia, Giulietta, and Mito. (I didn’t realize they were still making the Giulietta and Mito. Can’t find ‘em here in the U.S., so they’re as good as non-existent to me.)

The Jeep and Ram brands were in high demand in the 2015 year, and as such, FCA will introduce a new action plan to capitalize on the brands’ popularity. They also mentioned plans for a future Grand Wagoneer(!) and Wrangler Pickup(!) models.

FCA also emphasized their commitment to regulatory compliance with market emissions laws. “Mild hybrid” models were mentioned for Ram and Jeep, with a specific mention of a Wrangler hybrid. The Wrangler will also be getting a diesel engine.

Whatever the case may be, there is sure to be some interesting cars coming from FCA within the next few years, so we will have that to look forward to. Let’s hope that the “specialty” cars coming from Alfa Romeo are going to be affordable, fun, performance-oriented cars. Are you making us a new GTV, Sergio? Perhaps a new Spider? Whatever you make, just make it nutty and make it available in the U.S. I know I would buy that stuff.
