1966 Jaguar XKE with a 1999 Chevy ZZ4 motor with AC and 1996 6 speed with overdrive ZF transmission. The car was build in 1996 and took 4 years to complete. The car was my daily driver for many years after the build was completed. It was driven from North Carolina to California and all over the USA. Car does around 1,800 RPM at 65 MPH. This car is was made to be driven any where I wanted to go and go there with no problems. Many of the parts came from Gran Turismo Jaguar. They build me the perfect rear end to get the best performance I could get out the motor. The rear and front fenders was flare to fix bigger tires. The seats are from a 1978 lotus esprit. Every part in the car is documented in detail in case any thing needs to be replaced. The car does have 5 small paint blister two on the hood. One on the front fender and one on the back fender on the driver then the last one in on the rear fender of the passenger side. There is a small exhaust leak other. Other then that the car is in great shape for almost being 50 years. Call or email me about question at

Best Cars & Coffee choice for 15k or less

Chris at Burbbble

::cck::839

Going to a cars and coffee event is always a good time but participating in one can be a little intimidating. Even though everyone is super nice, my 944 parked next to a Bugatti or De Tomaso seems kind of like streaking the red carpet at the Oscars. Clearly it doesn’t belong and all it is doing is ruining everyone’s pictures. So what cars can be bought for 15k or less that fit in with the rich and famous? We have our picks, what is yours?

1963 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

1963 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

If you are going to show up to a party why not wear a tux. Granted this Cadillac is a little rough around the edges. So if it were a tux it would probably be the one your great grandpa was buried in but come’on, look how stylish it is! IT HAS FINS!! (The car, not a dead dude’s tux) If I could spend a work week buffing the paint and got some spray paint and Sharpies for touch-ups, I think this could be a very striking car from 30 feet.

My thought here is if I can’t beat ’em, be bigger and more brash because I’m a patriot. CHRIS OUT!

1969 Fiat 600

1969 Fiat 600

The most popular cars at Cars & Coffee are Italian, no doubt. Alfa Romeos, Maseratis, Lamborghinis and Ferraris are all too common at these events, however. Classic vintage is a must, so what stands out?

This exquisite Fiat 600 flips all the right switches: small, Italian, vintage, blue. It is the best example of Italian modesty, if there ever was such a thing. It’s powder blue paint provides a refreshingly bright contrast to matte black BMWs. This is a car that makes the driver happy. And that happiness will make others jealous at Cars & Coffee.

1967 Volkswagen Beetle

There will be plenty of Porsches at Cars and Coffee, but not many designed by the great Ferdinand himself (Porsche that is, not Piëch). So why not roll up in a true, Porsche-designed piece of excellence? Leave those 914s at home and burble over for your tall, skinny, lo-fat, no-fat, almond-milk mocha with the sunroof out and “Surfin’ USA” blaring through the small speakers. The carefully designed “Oh Shit” bar above the glove compartment will give your passenger the sensation of riding a bucking bronco as the 53 horses tear off down the street. Of course, by the end of the night you’ll be playing “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy”.

Good thing too, because by the time you reach the end of the street two horses will have escaped. Damn rustlers.

1964 Jaguar MK II

1964 Jaguar MK II

The number of sedans that get parked at Cars n Coffee usually equals the total goals scored in an average Premier League match (have you watched this??). While we haven’t joined our brethren across the Atlantic in feverish excitement for football, we do share a passion for the cars that were shoddily put together a long time ago in the British countryside.

However, my choice of a 1964 Jaguar MK II is not because it will be one of few. It is because it will be the prettiest of many. Being unique is cheap. There are a lot of rare cars that you would never want to own. Being special takes something….special. Call it plucky, call it charming, call it charismatic, whatever adjectives you are inspired to use, “boring” and “ugly” will not come to mind.

So with my choice I raise my pint of best and hope that whoever is playing Manchester United absolutely destroys them. Something extreme….like 2-NIL.

Cars and Coffee – Scottsdale

::cck::813
::/introtext::

In a rare moment, the sun was shining in Scottsdale, Arizona as exotic car after exotic car came burbbbling in to The Shoppes of Gainey Village.  This week the show featured Ferrari 330’s.  The largely uncelebrated successor to the Ferrari 250.  It was nice to see the old girls get their day. Here are a few things we saw as well as some bonus coverage of the after party at Four Till Four Coffee.

200mph Jaguar F-Type SVR to debut at Geneva

::cck::99
::/introtext::

Out of the SVR program at Jaguar Land Rover will come a new cat; a 200mph, hissing, spitting F-Type SVR. The car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show and go on sale in summer 2016.

“The new F-TYPE SVR is the first series production Jaguar to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design,” said John Edwards, managing director, Jaguar Land Rover SVO. Proving once again that there’s more than one way to skin a cat, Jaguar will offer the F-Type SVR in both coupe and convertible variants.

Jaguar says the F-Type SVR will retain day-to-day usability while exploiting the full potential of the sports car chassis. Making an already-maybe-too-loud car even louder with the help of a new titanium exhaust,  the F-Type SVR will be the perfect grocery-getter for the type of person who demands the general public to pay them attention. This car will be sure to be bought by the type of business people who wear running shoes with their suit and talk too loudly on their Bluetooth headsets in a public setting.

1952 XK120 FHC

White with red interior. Leather is in very good condition and may be original to the car. Wood is good driver condition. All original instruments. Headliner is excellent. The car received a major renovation in the 1970’s and I have a pile of receits.

Matching number head, block and gearbox

Runs and Drives well. Brakes work well

This car was in one family for decades and then owned by an older gentleman collector who owned it for years and drove it occasionally. Has had a lot of recent maintenance including new motor mounts and a brake overhaul. All in all just good ‘ol Jag. Not a show car, but a very solid driver.

Call me if you are interested and can pay for the car. Will consider trades up or down on other nice antique car(s). No junk, no boats, no motorcycles.

Just bought out of large private collection where it has been stored inside since 1988. Good history, showing car came from second owner who had since 1975. Matching # engine and transmission that we got started in a few days. Does need major service of course but excellent compression. Looks to have always been white with very straight rust free body and decent trim and glass. Car looks to have started restoration many years ago then owner just had too many cars to keep up and eventually passed away leaving several of his collection midway restored. Interior is all there except door panels but needs to be redone of course. All rockers and jams are solid as well as the trunk and floors. Engine compartment is decent but once gain needs finishing. Brakes had started a service then stopped but all parts are there. Underneath is very solid with pictures available upon request. Overall a good car that needs to be brought back to its former glory. Top 5 Imposing Cars

Other than commuting from point A to point B, one main reason some people buy cars is to show off. They like to flaunt how much money they make or how much power they hold at their job. That’’s why you often see CEO’s in Mercedes S-Classes or rich wives talking on their cellphones while running […]
