Cars for the Year of the Rooster

Whether the outcome of the Presidential election has you feeling like Clint Eastwood or Trumpeting on top of a wall, one thing is clear, the Chinese rigged the election, not the Russians. Afterall, it is the year of the cock, y’all should have seen this coming. The conundrum, however, is our Chinese brethren don’t have […]

transmission: manual

$10000

This is a 1965 Chevy Suburban.
Exterior of the vehicle was left with the natural patina, creating a cool beach burban look. Roof rack was added with a surf board to continue with the beach vibe. All exterior lighting works and functions. Windows are all in good working condition, no cracks. Truck sits on 22 inch wire wheels that have been patina painted and given a white wall look on a set of new Lexani 2x65x35x22 tires. The burban had an air ride suspension system installed. Included are four 2600lb bags, two 3 gal air tanks, and two compressors. Air ride system is accessible and displayed nicely in the back of truck. The rear delivery area has new wood that has been treated with a clear coat giving it a nice shiny finish. Fat Mat sound mat was installed under new plush pad and carpet. Seat and door panels have been wrapped in an authentic themed material. The burban has factory gauges. The truck is powered by a GM crate motor that has new a Accel HEI distributor, MSD wires, plugs, Edelbrock 600 CFM carb, Edelbrock performer manifold, Edelbrock air cleaner, and Mickey Tompson valve covers. Motor is hooked to a 4 speed manual transmission. Factory ram horn exhaust manifolds with new 2 ½ inch exhaust with cherry bomb mufflers, which gives it a nice sound while cruising. The burban has a clean and clear title and while you don’t have to be at the beach to drive this fun truck it will make you want to find the nearest beach and sit back and relax.

Disney Vacation Scenario

::cck::1000

Summer is officially here and parents all over the country are getting ready to take their kids to The Happiest Place on Earth. A plot of land so magical it will make a many hard earned monies disappear. So unforgettable that provided pictures will cost $10 and a souvenir will take another $40. A place where the same McDonalds cheeseburger meal two miles away costs $5 less. Of course I am referring to the one and only (sort of), gator-infested Walt Disney World.

We were wondering if you can buy an equally memorable summer car for the family that is as fun as Space mountain for the same money as a four day/four night Disney World vacation for a family of four.

According to a study done by hipmonk.com the average cost of a Disney World experience is $4,954.

Rules: Must find a car with the asking price or recently sold price of $4,954 or less

Must be unique/special enough to make memories for the kids

Must be able to fit two adults and two small children

1963 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (Cory Pick)

::cck::973

1963 Chevrolet Corvette Coupefuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: manual
condition: excellent

$99900

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is a piece of American Automotive history, and one of the most influential cars ever built. At the time, ”sports car” in the United States meant a nice little cruiser. The Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars that could produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. The United States had produced a true all-around sports car. 1963 Corvette Coupes are affectionately nicknamed ”Split Windows” after the divided rear window that was eye-catching but also controversial. GM Head Designer Bill Mitchell fought Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov for the inclusion of the feature. After the 1963 model year, the GM executives sided with Duntov and the Split Window was just a one-year happening. The distinction of this rare look, and the birth of the stingray causes Split Windows to be one of the most highly sought after American collector cars.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly original and well documented example of the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe for your consideration. With the meticulously kept notes from previous owners, Bloomington Gold certification offered with this model and plenty of receipts of its more recent work, this is a true survivor that has had the fortune of staying unmolested and kept true to its original form! Featuring the 327/300 HP V8 engine mated to its Powerglide transmission, this vehicle drives as well as it looks with its power steering and posi-traction. With its Sebring Silver exterior and classic wheels, the sharp styling and split-window design is emphasized with its excellent color choice which stands tall considering it’s believed to never have been fully repainted. Inside this model the black vinyl is in excellent condition considering its originality and with only one patched tear in the passenger seat to be found, the dash is original as well with no clear signs of deterioration, the tinted windshield from the factory looks great, a signal-seeking AM radio still present and functioning and the gauges all seem to be functioning well for its next owner. Power windows add to the comfort and ease of driving and not enough can be said for the original state this vehicle sits in today.

The All American Garage

::cck::971

What makes America so great? Theater, excess, freedom. It can be argued that America isn’t the “greatest” country but you cannot say it isn’t the most entertaining. Sure, Japan has it’s messed up marketing and England has a royal family of Corgi’s but America has the Avengers and Donald Trump.

We build giant utilitarian pickup trucks, sell ridiculous lift kits to make them unusable, then market them as a status symbol. We make pizzas that could feed a village, eat until our bodies slip into a coma, then throw the rest away. While other countries may focus on making the most fuel efficient engines, we put a 707hp engine in a sedan for fun then sold them to the general public.

Under the Star-Spangled Banner you have the freedom to do whatever. If you have the money you can be as smart or stupid as you want. You can fund a homeless shelter to help people to get back on their feet or you can spend $227,000 on some sweaty leather outfit Chris Evans wore in Captain America: The First Avenger, or both.

Burbbble wanted to celebrate our country’s theater, excess and freedom with an All-American garage game where we limit your freedom with a strict set of rules.

Rules: Garage must include a truck, a modern car (2013-2016) and a pre 1975 car. They must all be made by an American company.

Budget is $227,000, the cost of Chris Evan’s almost Star-Less costume at auction.

Cars must have asking or sold prices equal or lesser than $227,000

NFL Rookie Garage Game

::cck::918

The NFL draft is over and hundreds of rookies have made their way to the headquarters of NFL teams all across the nation. Several drafted and undrafted young men are heading to Titletown, USA to see if they can make a splash in the National Football League’s smallest market. If they make the cut the league minimum for a rookie in 2015 was $435,000. Let’s assume each of those players has either multiple mortgages or at least rent in Green Bay and a mortgage someplace else. They will also have family and likely a small entourage to take care of, so we are setting a responsible budget that their agents and financial planners could agree to. You have $70,000 to spend on the best garage for an NFL rookie in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

(We chose Green Bay because it is both America’s team and the best team of anything in history ever)

Rules:

  • One around town car
  • One posing car for driving to Lambeau Field on gameday
  • One car for Mama
  • Cars must have asking/sold prices that equal 70k or less total
  • Extra money can be spent on toys or more cars
